We are now rolling out a new Hotfix to address some of the issues that came up with the 3.9 Update.

The update is now live on Steam, Epic Games Store and PlayStation 5. XBOX and Microsoft Store players will receive the hotfix later today.

Changelog

Crimebond and Renown

  • Saw perks through the OVERKILL vendor no longer require the Brute Force DLC, allowing stolen saws to be equipped with perks.

  • Fixed players at max Renown (1600) being unable to gain Renown after stealing from the Brute Force Crimebond.

  • Fixed controller players being sent to the store and having their selected skills reset after unequipping a stolen skill.

  • Fixed suits stolen with Renown not showing as owned. 

Heists

  • Fixed loot in safes opened with the Saw not being interactable, blocking progress.

Weapons and UI

  • Fixed the Queen's Revenge description showing a placeholder instead of its correct variable.

Gameplay

  • Fixed crash related to using the OVE9050 Saw or the Sociopath bat.

  • Fixed a crash when switching loadouts in the Shooting Range while a grenade was still live.

  • Fixed a crash related to a grenadier explosion, causing the Sentry Gun to overheat.

  • Fixed a crash when deploying an Ammo Bag.

  • Fixed a crash when voting to restart a heist.

  • Fixed a crash when Shield enemies spawned for clients.

  • Fixed a crash when a reload was interrupted by a loadout change.

  • Fixed a crash that occurred when using the OVE9050 Saw against a cop drone with the Grave Robber weapon perk equipped.

  • Fixed a crash related to unequipping a weapon cosmetic.

  • Fixed a crash related to critical hits at various distances.

Updates may be incompatible with the mods you may have installed. Even seemingly unrelated mods may cause unexpected issues. If you are experiencing any problems with the game; try removing any mods you may have installed and try again.

If you are having issues with an unmodded game you can try to verify the integrity of the game files. In the Steam library; right-click on PAYDAY 3. Select "Properties" from the menu. Under the tab "LOCAL FILES" select "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES...". The process may take some time to finish.
